Gobbo-Sitter
Team Size: 5
Engine: Unity
Role: Level Designer

Playing as a daycare assistant, you must collect all the goblin kids that have escaped throughout the village. Collect them in a timely manner to boost your overall score. As the Level Designer, it was my job to create a small town made from terrain, create textures, and populate it with models to make the town feel lived in.

Concepts
With the entire premise centering on Goblins, I wanted this fantasy world to be shaped like a goblin's face. To achieve this, I added a hilltop that overlooks the village, providing the town with unique areas to explore. The main points include the starting area with the daycare and fountain, the market square with shops, and the hilltop featuring a windmill.

Graybox
Using Terrain, I created the layout of the village. Going with this design allowed me to create rigid textures you would find in the middle of a forest. Simple landmarks are boxes made using ProBuilder. As the project continued, it was then my job to create textures for the level.

Texture
With the cartoonish style that I went with, I created a standard grass, rock, and dirt texture. I then painted the terrain so it wasn't a standard graybox.

This led to the idea of having a "chaos" level, in which the goblins destroyed the town and everything went wild. This allowed me to create new textures for the scene to make it crazier and burned down.

Final
With all the models added in, it was then time to decide on how many levels I wanted to have. With some thinking, it turned into 4 levels, where each one continuously added something new to the gameplay. Level 1 acted as the tutorial, Level 2 added a mini map to see the goblins around you, Level 3 added running shoes, which increased the player's speed, and Level 4 was Chaos, where all the goblins' speed increased, and everything was destroyed.

As you progress through the level, the goblins slowly start to destroy the town. It starts off small with some trees knocked down, but then continues to get worse in the next levels, where lamp posts get pushed over, all leading to the Chaos level, in which the big monument in the center of town is knocked over, as well as the windmill.
